PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide optical equipment capable of associating the operation position of an operation means and the position of an optical member on a one-on-one basis with a simple structure regardless of whether the operation means is operated or not during power off of the optical equipment. SOLUTION: The optical equipment 125 has a storage means 125 for storing the operation position of the operation means 121 and the position of the optical member 101. A control means 124 compares the stored operation position and the operation position detected by a first detection means 122 when power supply is restarted after power supply to the optical equipment is interrupted, and if both the positions are different, the control means 124 controls a drive means 127 so that the position of the optical member detected by a second detection means 129 should be a target position while if both are the same, it controls so that position of the optical member detected by the second detection means should be the stored position of the optical member.
