PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide treating of various conditions using a cholinergic agonist which has selectivity in anα7 nicotinic receptor. SOLUTION: The use of a cholinergic agonist which has selectivity in anα7 nicotinic receptor in a sufficient amount to decrease the amount of an inflammatory cytokine released from a macrophage in medicinal preparation for treating an inflammatory condition is disclosed, wherein the condition is selected from the group consisting of appendicitis, digestive organ nature ulcer, gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer, peritonitis, pancreatitis, epiglottitis, achalasia, choledochitis, cholecystitis, hepatitis, Whipple's disease, asthma, allergy, anaphylactic shock, immune complex disease, internal organs necrosis, hay fever, sepsis, septicemia, endotoxin shock, vicious liquid, hyperpyrexia, eosinophilic granuloma, granulomatosis, sarcoidosis, septic abortion, epididymitis, vaginitis, prostatitis, urethritis, bronchitis, pulmonary emphysema, rhinitis, cystic fibrosis, pneumonia or the like.
