PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the earthquake resistance of existing sluice columns. SOLUTION: A coupled aseismatic structure includes two sluice columns 31-35 arranged on both sides of sluice gates G1, G2; main girders 50 made of steel, laid over two adjacent sluice columns 31-35 and having a fixed support structure on one side and a movable support structure on the other side in regard to support structures to the two sluice columns 31-35; an operation bridge 40 including the main girders 50; and high damping dampers 70 connecting the other side ends 58 of the main girders 50 on the movable support structure side, to the top parts of the sluice columns supporting the other side ends 58. The high damping damper 70 has a yield displacement amountδy in seismic velocity being smaller than an allowable valueδc of top displacement of the sluice columns 31-35, and a yield load Ra in seismic velocity being larger than maximum seismic force Fm. Further, maximum reaction Rb in thermal expansion velocity is set to 20% or less of the yield load in the seismic velocity. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
