<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce vibrations and noise by increasing the damper action of a leg device and reducing the resonance vibrations of a washing machine casing. <P>SOLUTION: The washing machine includes: an outer tub 33 supported by a resilient body 32 provided on a washing machine outer frame 30; a washing and dewatering tub 34 rotatably provided inside the outer tub 33; driving means 35 for rotating the washing and dewatering tub 34; and legs 41 provided at the bottom part of the washing machine outer frame 30 for blocking the vibrations of the washing machine outer frame 30. The leg 41 and damping means 42 for suppressing the vibrations of the washing machine outer frame 30 are connected by a connecting body 43. Thus, the resonance of the washing machine outer frame 30 is surely reduced by the damping means 42. Further, a vibration transmission rate to the installation floor of the washing machine outer frame 30 is reduced.
