<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device, a control method and a program, which can control a recording device by a function not included in a general-purpose device drive, in addition to control of the recording device by use of the general-purpose device driver. <P>SOLUTION: A host computer 1 connected to a printer 3 that is a control object includes a printer driver 22 which generates a print job based on operation of a POS application 21; a device driver 24 which controls the printer 3 based on the print job generated by the printer driver 22; and a communication control module 23 which monitors the operating state of the printer 3 by the control of the device driver 24, and outputs a control command to the printer 3 in a form such that the device driver 24 does not interpret according to the operating state of the printer 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
