<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device having an inexpensive configuration capable of preventing parts from being damaged during procedures for removing jam and improving workability of the work for removing the jam. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device is integrally constituted as a transfer fixing unit 9 by letting a paper conveyance guide hold a transfer roller and a fixing means. If the device stops while a paper (not shown) reaches a transfer unit where a photosensitive member 2 and the transfer roller 5 are brought into pressure-contact, an exterior cover 11 is opened to allow the transfer fixing unit 9 to move outside and downward of a device body. Consequently, the transfer roller 5 is separated from the photosensitive member 2, and a transfer nip is released so that the paper (not shown) in the transfer unit can be easily removed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
