PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of suppressing tilting of an air filter during lifting/lowering operation of the air filter. SOLUTION: The air conditioner 2 includes: an air conditioner casing 3 including an air suction port 3a on the front face; the air filter 6 detachably mounted to the air suction port 3a; two hanging members having one ends connected to the air filter 6, respectively; and a lifting/lowering mechanism 50 hanging up the hanging members to lift up the air filter 6 to the air suction port 3a. The two hanging members are constituted of two belts 11, 11. The lifting/lowering mechanism 50 includes; a take-up pulley 10 arranged in the air conditioner casing 3 and taking up the belts 11; and screws 41, 41 fixing terminals of the respective belt 11 to the take-up pulley 10.
