PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means using a plurality of authentication servers having authentication information databases different from each other without integrating the authentication servers, and constructing a network authentication system though it is necessary to use one authentication server when integrating a plurality of network authentication systems in a conventional network authentication system. SOLUTION: This authentication system and device include an authentication processing distribution function of individually setting an authentication system and an authentication server in port units of a network apparatus, and selecting an authentication processing part performing authentication in each point.
