METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DOCUMENT CLUSTERING USING ONTOLOGY

PURPOSE: A grouping method of a document and apparatus thereof which uses an ontology are provided to efficiently group similar documents by clustering the document based on ontology including the keyword of the document. CONSTITUTION: A keyword extractor(1002) extracts a keyword from documents. A keyword selector(1004) selects the keyword of the document by using the keyword. A document hierarchy structure generator(1006) generates a document hierarchy structure by corresponding to an ontology is-A hierarchical structure. A document clustering unit(1008) clusters the documents according to the keyword of the document.
