<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device enabling reduction in mounting cost, and improvement in mounting reliability. <P>SOLUTION: An IC 10 includes: banks B1-B3 arranged corresponding to HDMI ports P1-P3, respectively; a control part 33 for selecting one of the banks B1-B3 in accordance with a bank selection signal to write EDID information in the selected bank; and three control parts 30-32 arranged corresponding to the HDMI ports P1-P3, respectively, and each reading the EDID information from the corresponding bank in response to a read instruction signal provided via the corresponding HDMI port to output the EDID information to the corresponding HDMI port.
