<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress damage to a member, which is likely to occur when pulling out a toner storage container inserted in a wrong direction. <P>SOLUTION: A groove 356 formed along a shaft direction of a toner cartridge 200Y is formed in a shutter guide part 350. A first retreat part 357A and a second retreat part 357B for pressing a first projection provided on a storage part side to cause the first projection to retreat from a moving path of the toner cartridge 200Y, are provided inside the groove 356. Each of the first retreat part 357A and the second retreat part 357B is formed by providing a plurality of projections in thin plate shape (rib shape) and by providing the projections in parallel with each other.
