<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner supplying device which includes a secondary toner container configured to convey toner from a toner container, and also configured to temporarily contain the conveyed toner, and feed the contained toner to a developing device, and which compatibly achieves prevention of occurrence of abnormal images caused by toner influx into the developing device and maintenance of quality of image density in repeat printing having a high image area ratio. <P>SOLUTION: The toner supplying device is provided with a toner supply controller which controls conveyance of the toner to the secondary toner container from the toner container so that the amount of the toner contained in the secondary toner container may be equal to or greater than a prescribed amount, and controls feed of the toner from the secondary toner container to the developing device on demand in the developing device, and performs control in which when the fed amount of the toner required by the developing device is equal to or greater than a reference value, toner feeding efficiency is decreased. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
