<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To match settings related to a text recording format, without fail and readily, in a recording device with the settings related to the text recording format in a control device that controls the recording device. <P>SOLUTION: A host computer 1 is connected to a printer 4 that prints text in accordance with setting values 52 specifying a text printing format, by using the functions of a driver setup program 23; the host computer acquires a set of MOT file 28 (recording device setting data) and INF file 27 (control device setting data) that are configured to produce identical or substantially identical printout as a printer 4 with different printing format specifications, and configures settings in a registry 29 that is referenced by a printer driver 22, based on the acquired INF file 27; and by using the functions of a firmware setup program 24, the host computer generates or updates setting values 52 based on the MOT file 28. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
