<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption while efficiently transmitting a current position. <P>SOLUTION: A portable information device is provided with: a current position acquisition part (S11) which acquires the current position; a current position transmitting part which transmits the acquired current position to a server; and a congestion degree acquisition part (S14) which acquires a congestion degree of the current position from the server; wherein the current position transmitting part transmits the current position acquired by the current position acquisition part to the server (S21), at transmission time intervals to be determined based on the congestion degree acquired from the server (YES in S17). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
