<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display system, along with an image output device, a control method and a recording medium, capable of easily adjusting an image processing state by an image display apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The display system 1 includes an image output device (PC)2 and the image display apparatus (projector) 3. The image output device 2 includes a display unit (display means) 22, an operation unit (operation means) 21, a control image generation unit 242 for generating a control image including control items to control the image display apparatus 3 to display it on the display unit 22, a control information acquisition unit (parameter acquisition unit) 244 for acquiring control information of the set control items, a processing image generation unit 245 for displaying a processing image indicating an image processing state based on the control information on the display unit 22, and a control information output unit (image output unit) 247 for output of the control information to the image display apparatus 3.
