PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating a subject having decreased arginine or nitric monoxide bioavailability as a symptom or cause of disorders.

SOLUTION: The method for treating asthma, sickle cell disease, pulmonary hypertension, etc., of a subject including a step of administering L-arginine and an arginase inhibitor such as N(ω)-hydroxy-nor-L-arginine (NOHA) and/or magnesium to a subject requiring treatment. The administration is effective for increasing arginine or nitric monoxide bioavailability in the subject.
