PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device in which a light source can be arranged at a position other than the side end side of a light guide plate and the thickness of the light guide plate can be formed to be thin. SOLUTION: The display device includes a light transmissive light guide plate, a light source board provided with a light source for irradiating the light guide plate with light, and a base to which the light guide plate and the light source board are attached. The light guide plate includes a flat plate part spread in a planar shape at the front of the base, and a curved part curved from the side end of the flat plate part to the back of the base. The light source is arranged at the back end of the curved part so as to emit light from the back surface side. At the back end of the curved part, an incidence part for making the light emitted by the light source be incident on the curved part is formed. The light emitted from the light source is made incident from the incidence part, reflected at the curved part and propagated to the flat plate part. The light propagated to the flat plate part is diffused by ruggedness of the front surface of the flat plate part, and the flat plate part emits light with high luminance.
