PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of mounting a thermometer to a can body having favorable temperature responsiveness, enabling easy replacement even if a failure occurs and usable for the can-body overheating detection of a boiler capable of burning fuel including much ash. SOLUTION: A temperature sensor protection tube is welded upwardly to a longitudinal fin welded between a water pipe and its adjacent water pipe or the outer surface of the water pipe at 30-60°of an angle. After a temperature sensor is inserted into the protection tube until coming into contact with the longitudinal fin or the water pipe, a bulking agent with favorable heat conduction is charged and filled so that the amount of the bulking agent achieves 10-30 mm of a depth around a temperature sensor temperature-sensitive part. The temperature sensor is fixed to an inlet of the protection tube so as to prevent the movement of the temperature sensor temperature-sensitive part. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
