PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a gel composition for oral cavity, which is excellent in oral biofilm suppressing effect and gingipain inhibitory effect, gives good impression at use without any bitter taste, is excellent in shelf stability and shows high retention in the oral cavity. SOLUTION: The gel composition for oral cavity comprises: (A) 0.005-0.15 mass% water-soluble copper compound calculated in terms of copper concentration; (B) phenolic disinfectant; (C) at least one organic acid salt chosen from citrate, tartrate and malate; (D) xylitol and/or erythritol; (E) a water-soluble polymer compound; and (F) a surfactant and/or mono- to trihydric alcohol.
