<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mitigate a load imposed on a deblocking filter, in order to solve a problem that, although mosaic-shaped block noise occurs when a compressed video signal is reproduced, removing the block noise from each block by using a deblocking filter imposes a significant load on the deblocking filter. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for removing coding distortions, it is determined whether or not a coding distortion removing process is necessary, and only when the process is necessary, the deblocking filtering is applied. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
