摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission mechanism for a hybrid vehicle for improving fuel consumption by reducing a loss caused by driving of a generator motor uselessly in running the vehicle under ordinary condition, and effectively utilizing regenerative energy in deceleration, and for improving controllability in acceleration and deceleration. <P>SOLUTION: The power transmission mechanism 1 of a hybrid vehicle includes: an internal combustion engine 2 that outputs power; a power generation motor 3 that carries out power generation and outputs power when the power is input; and a control means (hybrid ECU 6) that selects and then controls the internal combustion engine 2 and the power generation motor 3 as a driving source for running. The power transmission mechanism 1 of the hybrid vehicle also includes a power connection/disconnection mechanism 4 that connects the power generation motor 3 with a power transmission route for transmitting the power and then disconnects the power generation motor 3 from the power transmission route, or vice versa, intermittently. The control means 6 activates the power interruption mechanism 4 and then deactivates it, or vice versa, intermittently with reference to at least one of information on road conditions, information on traffic conditions and information on vehicular conditions.
