PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain high convergency and low calculation costs in analyzing elasto-plastic deformation of a pipe-made torsion beam having a complicated shape and one part in contact with the other in cross sectional view. SOLUTION: A member to which a predetermined amountδof elasto-plastic deformation is analyzed by a finite element method by using a computer. The plurality of subsections of the member are classified into n regions A<SB>i</SB>(i: 1 to n) in advance, and the amountδis divided into m amountsΔ<SB>j</SB>(i: 1 to m). A region A<SB>1</SB>is defined as a non-constraint region or a constraint region based on actual physical boundary conditions, and the rest is defined as a virtual constraint region whose degree of freedom is low, sequentially from j=1 to j=m, to analyze the overall elastic deformation state of the member. Then, the virtual constraint region of the region A<SB>i</SB>is released, and the non-constraint region or the constraint region based on the actual physical boundary conditions is enlarged sequentially from i=2 to i=n. After the overall elastic deformation state of the component is analyzed, an elasto-plastic deformation state is analyzed.
