PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To guide scanning light in the deviated state from an optical action domain in an optical member, to a direction determined beforehand which is different from a guide direction by the optical member. SOLUTION: An adjustment bracket 164S has a plane 164B which is nonparallel to an inclined plane 100K. Hereby, when exposure light L output from a polygon mirror 104 reaches a whole exposure light reflection mirror 110, the exposure light L enters the adjustment bracket 164S on the scanning start side, and thereby the exposure light L is guided to a direction determined beforehand which is different from the case in the image forming time by a reflection mirror 112CK (or a reflection mirror 112YM). The direction determined beforehand is a direction wherein a light quantity is attenuated without being output from a housing 100 not to exert a bad influence on at least image formation (electrostatic latent image formation) on photoreceptor drums 210Y, 210M, 210C, 210K.
