PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a gas oil composition preventing filter blockage at low temperature and satisfying practical use performance and emission gas purification performance in a low-sulfur gas oil with a sulfur content of 50 mass ppm or less. SOLUTION: The gas oil composition, which is produced by the method for producing a gas oil composition and has a sulfur content of 50 mass ppm or less and other predetermined properties, comprises based on the total amount of the composition: (A) 0-85 vol.% of a base material wherein a sulfur content is 50 mass ppm or less, a 90% distillation temperature is 200°C or higher and lower than 300°C, and a total amount of ≥20C normal paraffin is 0.02 mass% or less; (B) 0-50 vol.% of a base material which is obtained by hydrodesulfurization of a raw material oil containing 50 vol.% or more of straight run gas oil with a 90% distillation temperature of 305-360°C, and has a sulfur content of 50 mass ppm or less, a 90% distillation temperature of 300-355°C, and an inclination of 0.7 or less for a linear regression straight line obtained from a content of an 18-25C normal paraffin; and (C) 0-95 vol.% of hydrocracked gas oil which is obtained from a hydrocracking device and has a sulfur content of 15 mass ppm or less, and a 90% distillation temperature of 300-365°C.
