PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading condition setting program that prevents a situation where image data acquired by reading a document image by an image reader are not properly input to software, to enable efficient user operation. SOLUTION: The image reading condition setting program makes a computer execute: a procedure for recognizing the software to receive data acquired by reading the document image by the image reader; a procedure for reading information on the size of the image data which are stored in a memory associated with the recognized software and input to the software; and a procedure for limiting the range of the value to be set by the user to the setting items for setting the image reading condition of the image reader so that the size of the image data acquired by reading the document image by the image reader satisfies the size to be input to the software, based on the information on the data size.
