PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inorganic filler for resin in which a disperse phase of calcium carbonate derived from a shell is uniformly dispersed in the matrix phase of a synthetic resin and which has excellent mechanical strength even if the filler is subjected to film processing, and to provide a method for producing a composite resin composition. SOLUTION: The method for producing a composite resin composition includes the steps of: heating and kneading the inorganic filler for resin, in which 100 pts.wt. of a powder prepared by grinding the shell is mixed with 1-1,000 pts.wt. of a solvent, and the synthetic resin; vaporizing the solvent to remove it; and cooling the composite of the powder and the synthetic resin to solidify the composite.
