PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pest control composition that has excellent efficacy to control pests. SOLUTION: The pest control composition involves an amide compound expressed by formula (I) and pyriproxyfen as active ingredients wherein R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>3</SP>represent a 1C-6C alkyl group substitutable with a halogen atom; R<SP>2</SP>represents a 1C-6C alkyl group substitutable with a hydrogen atom or a halogen atom; R<SP>4</SP>and R<SP>7</SP>represent a halogen atom or a 1C-6C alkyl group substitutable with a halogen atom; R<SP>5</SP>and R<SP>6</SP>represent a hydrogen atom, halogen atom, cyano group and the like.
