PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adamantane derivative excellent in optical characteristics such as long period light resistance, transparency, and refractive index, electric characteristics such as dielectric constant, and mechanical properties such as long period heat resistance, to provide a method for producing the same, to provide a composition containing the derivative, and to provide a cured product using the derivative. SOLUTION: For example, an adamantane derivative of formula (I) [wherein, R<SB>1</SB>is C<SB>n</SB>H<SB>2n</SB>+1 (n is an integer of 1 to 10); j is an integer of 1 to 7; k is an integer of 0 to 6; m is an integer of 1 to 7; j+k+m≤8; X<SP>1</SP>is a substituent having an epoxy group, an acryloyl group, or the like at the terminal, and connected to a polyether chain therebetween] is synthesized, and is used to obtain a cured product.
