PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel which is less likely to be damaged even when inertial force is applied thereto in the direction of the optical axis of a lens. SOLUTION: The lens barrel (20) includes: a plurality of shafts (41, 42, and 43) disposed parallel to one another; and a holding member (31) holding an optical system (21), and having a first engagement portion (60A) into which the first shaft (41) of the plurality of shafts is inserted and which engages with the first shaft so as to be movable along the first shaft, a second engagement portion (70A) which has a pair of first abutting faces (73A) parallel to a direction connecting the first shaft and a second shaft (42) different from the first shaft and engages with the second shaft by means of the first abutting faces, and a third engagement portion (80A) which has a pair of second abutting faces (83A) along a direction intersecting the first abutting faces and engages with a shaft different from the first shaft by means of the second abutting faces.
