<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a common rail and a method of manufacturing the same in which an inner pressure fatigue strength at the circumferential border of an opening portion which is a border between a main pipe hollow and a branch hollow can be increased with a simpler method. <P>SOLUTION: A common rail 10 includes a main pipe 12 and a branch cylindrical portion 14. The branch cylindrical portion 14 is disposed on the outer circumference of the main pipe 12. A main pipe hollow 12a formed inside the main pipe 12 is in communication with a branch hollow 14a formed inside the branch cylindrical portion 14. One end of the branch hollow 14a is an opening portion 18 which opens toward the main pipe hollow 12a. The branch cylindrical portion 14 is removable from the outer circumference of the main pipe 12.
