<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably correct a threshold without increasing the number of components. <P>SOLUTION: This opening/closing device includes: an opening/closing body A1 which makes a closing movement by selfweight; a braking part 4 which brakes the closing movement of the opening/closing body A1 by the selfweight; a braking operation part 5 which operates to release the braking of the braking part 4; a braking-release operation part 6 which operates to make the braking operation part 5 release braking; a control part 76 which controls so as to stop the braking-release operation of the braking-release operation part 6 when an operation current value exceeding the predetermined threshold is detected during the braking-release operation of the braking-release operation part 6; and an operation-current-value detection part 72 which outputs an operation-current-value signal by detecting the magnitude of the operation current value.
