摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which is capable of driving pixels in such a manner to reduce the number of pixels having the same polarity and appearing consecutively while reducing power consumption and doesn't require the change of the order of output of potentials corresponding to image data from the order of input of image data. <P>SOLUTION: Pixel electrodes 21 in odd-numbered rows of a liquid crystal display panel 2 are connected to source lines arranged on the left side of the pixel electrodes. Pixel electrodes 21 in even-numbered rows are connected to source lines arranged on the right side of the pixel electrodes. A potential setting section 11 alternately outputs a potential higher than a common electrode potential V<SB>COM</SB>and a potential lower than V<SB>COM</SB>from respective potential output ends D<SB>1</SB>to D<SB>n</SB>in order of arrangement of the potential output ends. Further, switching between output of the potential higher than V<SB>COM</SB>and output of the potential lower than V<SB>COM</SB>is performed for every selection period.
