PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing agent for the liquid-crystal dropping process which has excellent adhesion and hardly causes liquid-crystal contamination, and a vertical-conduction material and a liquid-crystal display element obtained using the sealing agent for the liquid-crystal dropping process. SOLUTION: The sealing agent for the liquid-crystal dropping process includes a curable resin comprising a resorcinol type epoxy (meth)acrylate and a resin having epoxy groups, a photopolymerization initiator, and malonic acid dihydrazide, wherein a content of the resorcinol type epoxy (meth)acrylate in the curable resin is 50-90 wt.%, a content of the resin having epoxy groups in the curable resin is 10-50 wt.%, and a content of the malonic acid dihydrazide is 0.1-0.8 equivalent per 1 equivalent epoxy group of the curable resin.
