PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fish-hook that prevents a fish from being released from a hook once the fish has been caught on the hook, while facilitating the removal of the caught fish, and to also provide a fishing apparatus that uses the fish-hook and is capable of automatically catching fish and automatically releasing fish from the hook. SOLUTION: The fish-hook 1 is equipped with a main hook body 10, a release-preventing crossbar 20 that is capable of displacement between a proximate position and separated position, wherein the end of the crossbar respectively approaches and separates from the hook end of the main hook body 10, an impelling member 30 that impels the release-preventing crossbar 20 into the separated position, a main line 3, and an auxiliary line 4. The main line 3 is engaged with the main hook body 10 while being connected to the release-preventing crossbar 20, and when the force of a fish caught on the main hook body 10 is received and tension is applied, the release-preventing crossbar 20 gives way to the impelling force of the impelling member 30 and is displaced to the proximate position as the fish is pulled in. The auxiliary line 4 is connected to the section linking the curved section and the base section of the main hook body 10, and when tension is applied by a separate means, the hook end is aimed downward and releases the fish.
