摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a differential refractometer for efficiently guiding a parallel light to a light-receiving element, and having the sufficient measurement sensitivity and a measurement range, even if a position-detecting optical sensor having the light-receiving element of a limited size is used. SOLUTION: The present invention is such that as to comprise a light source section for generating a substantially parallel light; an aperture; a flow cell, having a two hollow sections internally divided by an inclined plate inclined to an optical axis of the parallel light to make a reference liquid and a sample liquid pass through; a position detecting optical sensor for detecting the polarization of the parallel light transmitted through the flow cell; a cylindrical lens for converging the irradiation position of the parallel light, in the position-detecting optical sensor between the aperture and the flow cell, or the flow cell and the position-detecting optical sensor in a direction orthogonal to the polarization direction; and a calculation section for calculating a refractive index, from an output signal of the position-detecting optical sensor.
