PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elastic polymer composition excellent in compatibility with rubber components used for tires and other rubber products, having rubber properties without fluidizing within the temperature range in using tires, and having topological-linkage-specific characteristics such as low energy loss, and to provide a pneumatic tire including the composition. SOLUTION: The elastic polymer composition containing a sulfur atom-bearing polycatenane structure includes such a structure that the polycatenane structures are mutually bound via chemical or ionic crosslinks.
