<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a downsized light-emitting device, and to provide a projector having the light-emitting device. <P>SOLUTION: In this light-emitting device 1000, a first optical element 170 includes: a first lens face 172 to which a first emitting light L1 is made incident and by which the first emitting light L1 is converted into parallel light; a first reflecting face 174 to reflect light passing through the first lens face 172; and a second lens face 176 to convert light reflected by the first reflecting face 174 into parallel light. A second optical element 180 includes: a third lens face 182 to which a second emitting light L2 is made incident and which converts the second emitting light L2 into the parallel light; a second reflecting face 184 to reflect light passing through the third lens face 182; and a fourth lens face 186 to convert the light reflected by the second reflecting face 184 into the parallel light.
