<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine translation device, which determines a translation range of an original text to be translated even whose difference from any original translation example is not included in translation examples, such as in the case of synthetic term, by selecting a translation text corresponding to the original text. <P>SOLUTION: Text data to be translated is obtained by dividing sentence data of first language input from an input device 20 into one sentence units. A translation example search part 30 searches translation examples being a pair of the translation example text and the translation example translated sentence from a translation example database 36 with respect to the translation object text. A difference association part 31 associates words and phrases in a similar example translated sentence corresponding to a difference between the similar example text and the translation object text with words and phrases in the translation object text. A re-association possibility determination part 32 enlarges the range of the words and phrases in which one by one association has failed to re-associate those words and phrases, and obtains the translated words of the words and phrases of the difference in the translation object text associated by them. A translated word replacement part 34 replaces the associated words and phrases in the similar example translated sentence with the obtained translated words to generate a translated sentence. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
