PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an optical fiber with a ferrule wherein an optical fiber ribbon is disposed in a proper position. SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing an optical fiber with a ferrule, the ferrule includes: an insertion port to which the optical fiber ribbon is to be inserted; a plurality of optical fiber holes; and an adhesive charging window for charging an adhesive to fix optical fibers of the optical fiber ribbon to the optical fiber holes, which has a position having a first width and a position having a second width in an opening with respect to a width direction of the optical fiber ribbon. The optical fiber ribbon is inserted from the insertion port so that the optical fiber ribbon having an edge of a peeled coating thereof is located between the position having the first width and the position having the second width when viewed from the adhesive charging window.
