PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and certainly attach a fixing member for fixing a spacer to the inside of a water jacket to the spacer. SOLUTION: The spacer 14 arranged inside of the water jacket of a cylinder block includes upper support legs 14e, 14b and lower support legs 14f, 14h which are respectively provided at both ends in a cylinder row line direction L1. The fixing member 22 for fixing the spacer 14 to the inside of the water jacket 13 is prevented from being slipped off by a connecting portion 22c only by covering the upper support legs 14e, 14g and lower support legs 14f, 14h with an upper covering portion 22a and a lower covering portion 22b. Thereby, it is possible to easily and certainly attach the fixing member 22 to the spacer 14. Furthermore, by the fixing member 22, it is possible to prevent abrasion of the upper support legs 14e, 14g and lower support legs 14f, 14h, caused by direct contact with the lower surface of the cylinder head or the bottom of the water jacket.
