PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method of a reform opening device excellent in workability, and a mounting structure therefor. SOLUTION: In the construction method of a reform opening device 1 formed with a frame body 10 and sliding doors 20, 30 disposed inside the frame body, inside an existing frame body, the upper lateral frame and right and left vertical frames of the frame body in the opening device includes a fixing piece as a piece to be fixed to the indoor side face of the existing frame body. The method includes a process for placing the lower lateral frame of the opening device on the existing lower lateral frame of the existing frame body while any piece other than the fixing piece can be disposed inside the width direction of the frame body, a process for disposing the upper lateral frame of the opening device inside in the width direction of the existing upper lateral frame of the existing frame body so as to raise the opening device from an inclined attitude holding the upper lateral frame on indoor side, and a process for fixing the fixing piece of the opening device to the indoor side face of the existing frame body.
