PURPOSE: An image display device is provided to increase visibility and to prevent the generation of the rainbow smudge used as a polarizer protective film such as polyester film. CONSTITUTION: An image display device(100) includes a first polarizer(10) which is arranged in the visual recognition side of an image display cell(5) and an image display cell. The first polarizer includes a first protection film in the visual recognition side main surface of the polarized light device. The first protection film satisfies the condition of below (i) to (iii). (i) 0nm<=Re1<=3000nm. (ii) Nz1>=7. (iii) Rth1>2500nm. |
