TREATING LIQUID FOR INK JET RECORDING, AND INK JET RECORDING METHOD AND INK JET RECORDING DEVICE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treating liquid for ink jet recording capable of sufficiently suppressing the adhesion of an ink to a discharge roller surface even in a mass, high-speed printing in an ink jet recording method in which after the ink is adhered to a recording medium, the treating liquid to cover the ink with a resin film is adhered.

SOLUTION: The treating liquid comprises an emulsion comprising as a polymer a graft copolymer and/or block copolymer of an acrylic resin whose glass transition temperature is ≥-5°C and <30°C and a urethane resin whose glass transition temperature is ≥30°C and ≤50°C. The surface of the ink previously adhered on a recording medium is covered with a film of the graft copolymer and/or block copolymer of an acrylic resin and a urethane resin securing excellent film formability and securing excellent quick drying property, thereby sufficiently suppressing the adhesion of the ink to the surface of a discharge roller 8.
