<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pointing device for providing an operation environment allowing a user to easily select a desired cursor position. <P>SOLUTION: The pointing device includes a pointing operation unit 2 for detecting an operation input of cursor position information on a display screen, a pressure sensor 32 for detecting a continuous change in pressing force according to a pressing amount of a user, a switch 31 arranged to be pressed in the same pressing direction as the pressure sensor 32 and detecting two states of an ON state and an OFF state, and a communication unit 6 for outputting operation information of the pointing operation unit 2, the pressure sensor 32, and the switch 31. The communication unit 6 outputs information indicating the pressing force detected by the pressure sensor 32 together with information indicating the operation input detected by the pointing operation unit 2 until state transition by the pressing operation by the switch 31 is detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
