PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relaying method in uplink data retransmission and a mobile communication system. SOLUTION: In the relay method, a base station receives uplink data which are retransmitted in a first resource by a user according to a NACK signal, a first reference signal and control information embedded in the uplink data. The base station receives uplink data which are transmitted in the first resource by a relay station according to the NACK signal, or uplink data after precoding is performed, and a second reference signal different from the first reference signal. The base station calculates a channel response by using the first reference signal, the second reference signal and received signals and detects the control information and the uplink data by using the calculation results of the channel response.
