摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jetting apparatus capable of achieving improvement in discharge of air bubbles existing in a liquid channel, and a control method therefor. SOLUTION: A maintenance driving pulse DP for removing air bubbles in ink with which a pressure generating chamber is filled is generated, the maintenance driving pulse DP which includes a first pulse element for allowing volume of the pressure generating chamber to shift to an expansion state by driving a piezoelectric vibrator, a second pulse element for holding the expansion state for a predetermined time, and a third pulse element for allowing the volume of the pressure generating chamber to shift from the expansion state to a contraction state, and which is set so that it makes pressure change in the pressure generating chamber higher than an ejection driving pulse for ejecting the ink to recording paper. A maintenance driving pulse DP is generated to remove air bubbles in ink filled in the pressure generating chamber. In ejection processing for ejecting the ink by using the ejection driving pulse, the ink is heated by a heating mechanism. On the other hand, in maintenance processing for recovering ejection capability of a recording head by repeatedly applying the maintenance driving pulse to the piezoelectric vibrator, the ink is cooled by a cooling mechanism.
