摘要 |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface coated cutting tool in which a hard coating layer exhibits excellent lubricity and wear-resistance under a high speed heavy cutting machining condition of a high hard steel. SOLUTION: The surface coated cutting tool includes the hard coating layer comprising a mixed organization of NbN of a cubic system structure and NbN of a hexagonal system structure and having a diffraction peak intensity ratio satisfying 0.05≤Ic/Ih≤1.0 when the diffraction peak intensity from (200) plane of NbN of the cubic system structure is made to Ic and the diffraction peak intensity from (103) plane and (110) plane of NbN of the hexagonal system structure is made to Ih when the diffraction peak intensity by X-ray diffraction is investigated regarding the mixed organization on a surface of a tool base body constituted by a WC base hard metal or a TiCN base cermet.
