PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an implant which provides a wound with closure, especially, a wound closure device for restoring and sealing the perforation of the tissue of a laparoscope port part and so on. SOLUTION: A wound closure device 1 includes an elongated body 12 which has a proximal end and a distal end, a tissue opposing surface 16 which is connected to the distal end of the elongated body pivotally, and a plug member 14 which has a second surface on the side opposite to the tissue opposing surface. The tissue opposing surface includes an electrophilic component. Additionally, the second surface on the side opposite to the tissue opposing surface includes a nucleophilic component.
