PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition excellent in mechanical strength, having heat resistance and optical properties suitable as a member for optical application; and a molded article obtained by molding the resin. SOLUTION: The resin composition includes a polycarbonate copolymer comprising a structural unit derived from a dihydroxy compound having a structure of general formula (1) and a refractive index of 1.49-1.57, and a particle having a refractive index lower than that of the polycarbonate copolymer by 0.01 or more.
