PURPOSE: A food composition for the detoxification of the toxicity caused by smoking cigarettes containing a lithospermum erythrorhizon extract is provided to offer the nicotine decomposition activity of lithospermum erythrorhizon. CONSTITUTION: A food composition for the detoxification of the toxicity caused by smoking cigarettes contains a lithospermum erythrorhizon extract as an active ingredient. The lithospermum erythrorhizon extract is obtained by dipping lithospermum erythrorhizon slices into ethanol, and extracting for 10hours at 50deg C before compress-concentrating. The lithospermum erythrorhizon extract is mixed with a medical extract.
